I have a trifecta of injuries going on with me right now. If it weren’t for speech-to-text, I would not be able to post! First, I have developed carpal tunnel in my right wrist. I am currently calling it “clicker wrist” as I believe it was caused primarily by me twisting and turning my wrist while working my computer mouse. Next, my bed is medical grade, but unfortunately it has a huge divot. This divot currently leans me too far to the left, putting too much weight on my left hip. I was in this position when the upstairs neighbor dropped something; I was startled so much that I fractured my hip. As you all know, I have OI type 3, so breaking in that way is possible. Finally, on occasion, due to my scoliosis, when I reach behind me for anything, my right shoulder blade can actually tap my spine hard enough to cause considerable pain.
I usually don’t have orthopedic issues at the same time. I am mentally strong, so I know I will get through it. I am not telling you any of this for you to feel bad for me. I am just explaining why I have been so quiet. I am working on getting an orthopedic appointment with my regular bone doctor. For the most part, though, much of what these injuries need is time. I have been sleeping a lot, which is the most important component to healing anything. I do have post ideas, and as you can see, I also changed the layout somewhat.
I hope that you like the new graphics. I wanted to give the blog a homey feel. So that when people visit, they know that they are in a safe place. Where they are protected, appreciated, and cared about. Thank you for your understanding. Whether you’re a fan, a friend, or a publisher/developer, it is appreciated, and you are valued by me.
Love,
Tarah
